Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Suozzi (D-NY) announced that Ronen Neutra, Plainview resident and father of American hostage Omer Neutra, will be his guest tomorrow at President Trump’s Joint Congressional Address.

“With so much going on, we cannot forget that our local resident, Omer Neutra, was murdered, and his body is still being held hostage by Hamas,” said Suozzi.

March 1 Budget Briefing Meeting

Hempstead, NYOn Saturday, Representatives Tom Suozzi (NY-03) and Laura Gillen (NY-04) hosted an in-person budget briefing at Hofstra University, drawing a crowd of more than 700 people. The event focused on the potentially harmful effects of the partisan budget reconciliation bill passed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, February 25th. They were joined by several guest speakers, including Michael Dowling, CEO of Northwell Health, the largest employer in New York State.

These letters request investigations into whether DOGE's access to payment systems has compromised sensitive and confidential taxpayer information.

Washington, D.C.— Last week, Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-NY), a first-generation Italian American and a member of the Congressional Italian American Caucus, introduced the bipartisan National Museum of Italian American History Commission Act. This legislation would create a planning commission to examine the possibility of creating a Smithsonian Museum of Italian American History on the Washington Mall.

Washington, D.C.— Today, Congressman Suozzi led a Ways and Means letter to Michelle King, Acting Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA). The letter was co-signed by every Democratic Member of the Ways and Means Committee, including Ranking Member Neal (D-MA).

Washington, D.C.-- The Great Neck / Manhasset Head Start program, which has served children ages 3 to 5 for nearly 60 years, was on the brink of closing this past Monday due to a federal funding freeze.

 

The issue stemmed from President Donald Trump's January 29th order to halt all federal funding. Although the freeze was lifted two days later, a glitch in the payment management system left Head Start programs across the country unable to access their grant funds.

Suozzi Introduces Resolution Celebrating the American-Korean Alliance

Washington, D.C.- Today, Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-NY) introduced a resolution celebrating the alliance between the United States and South Korea. Suozzi was also presented with an honorary seventh-degree Taekwondo black belt by Grandmaster Dr. Lee Dong-sup, President of Kukkiwon, the governing body of Taekwondo, due to his long standing support for the Korean American community.
