 In response to the mounting anti-Asian sentiment, rhetoric, and the ensuing hate crimes linking Asian Americans with COVID-19, Congressman Tom Suozzi (D - Long Island, Queens) joined local elected officials, Asian American lawmakers, community leaders, and representatives from many civic and religious organizations at three separate rallies across his District over the past two weeks.

Washington, DC – Representative Tom Suozzi (D – Long Island, Queens), wrapped up a busy first week in office on Thursday night, by delivering his first remarks on the floor as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Suozzi, who was officially sworn into office on Tuesday January 3rd, was an original co-sponsor of House Resolution 11, expressing opposition to the U.S.'s abstention from a U.N. Security Council vote on a resolution regarding Israel.
