Today, Problem Solvers Caucus Vice-Chair Tom Suozzi (D – Long Island, Queens) along with Co-Chairs Democrat Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) and Republican Tom Reed (NY-23) announced that the bipartisan Caucus will support a FY17 spending bill, avoiding a government shutdown, if it is both a clean bill and without any ideological riders.

Congressman Tom Suozzi, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, returned from a week-long trip to Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan, where he and other committee members met with U.S. military officials and troops stationed in the region. Since taking office, Suozzi has been appointed to the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Armed Services Committee.
