Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) joined forces with the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) and Families United (AFU) and, in one unified voice, called on President Biden to issue executive orders to help bring order to the border and to help expand the issuance of work permits for families with mixed immigration status.
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Tom Suozzi (NY-03) and Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) launched the Democrats for Border Security Task Force, a group of 26 House Democrats dedicated to addressing our country’s immigration and border crisis and countering the surge of illicit narcotics threatening communities across the country. Suozzi and Cuellar will serve as Co-Chairs of the newly formed Task Force.

Today, Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-Long Island, Queens) and Congresswoman Kathleen Rice (D-Long Island) hosted a Zoom event reminding New Yorkers to file their 2020 Federal tax returns by this Monday, May 17th to take advantage of the newly expanded Child Tax Credit.
– On Sunday and Monday, Congressman Tom Suozzi, along with nine other members of the Problem Solvers Caucus traveled to the communities of McAllen and Mission, Texas to assess the situation at the southern border. Suozzi and the Problem Solvers met with local officials, mayors, businesses, non-profits, including Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, and border patrol and local law enforcement officials.
