Suozzi Meets with NY-03 Mayors

Glen Cove, NY – On Monday, Congressman Tom Suozzi met with over 25 mayors from New York’s 3rd Congressional District to provide updates on recent developments from Washington, D.C., including the upcoming reconciliation bill, immigration issues, and the SALT (State and Local Tax) deduction. Rep. Suozzi also took the opportunity to hear the mayors' concerns and challenges.
Suozzi commended the mayors and their trustees, stating, “Congress should take a lesson from your bipartisan work, your commitment to your residents, and your ability to accomplish what matters most to the people of your villages.”
Having served as the mayor of Glen Cove for four terms, Suozzi understands how local village governments operate. He values the principle of Home Rule, recognizes the importance of zoning and land-use planning, and is aware of the scope and implications of village codes.
